Reporting improvements

Hey, guys! It’s been a while since we’ve had anything big to write about, but that has changed. As of the last update, Toggl has quite many new cool features:

  • all tasks regardless of completion status are now shown in the reports
  • there are more time formats to choose from under My settings
  • you can see the name of the running task in the page title
  • it is possible to change the project on a task – just click on it in the report and pick the correct project from the drop-down

We have also updated our FAQ section and made some smaller improvements in visuals and usability. So without further ado, we’re proud to present to you Toggl version 0.11.25!

Have fun Toggling,

Kristel

Awesome work on .25 everyone! The reports with all currently open tasks is absolutely wonderful. I know it’s still early, but IMHO, you have created the best time-tracking software out there (at least for *MY* needs :P). Thanks so much!

Glad to hear that, thank you!

I’ve been using it for over a month now and I’m finding I’m billing more simply because I’m keeping better track of my hours. Thanks a lot for the cool service.

I’m sure you folks have plenty to work on, but just in case others would like it too, I think it would be cool to have an “archive” function that stowed away projects but didn’t delete them… For those old projects I don’t want to delete, but I don’t want to see them on my screen anymore.

That and maybe more space/room for descriptions.. It feels a little cramped when you need to type a long description but maybe I’m in the minority on needing that.

    Hi Cheez,

you don’t have to delete projects that have been finished and you don’t want to see anymore, you can close them under the project properties. It does exactly what you were talking about – it archives the project and you can later view it by clicking on the “Show inactive projects” link on the right upper corner of the project list.

As to your idea on giving descriptions more room, we’ll take it under consideration.

    Best,
    Kristel
